Hiking the San Francisco Bay Area

As luck would have it my phone has enough signal to make a call to Ranger Dispatch. A ranger is sent to pick up Craig. We are fortunate to be on a fire road that can relatively easily be reached by a 4WD truck. Ben stays with Craig. I hike ahead to catch up with Bill, who went ahead, and brief him on the situation. He is comfortably resting in a shaded area. I continue to the junction where , after a short while I meet with the ranger, who gives me a ride back. When we meet Bill, I suggest he does not wait but hike out on his own.
