Hiking the San Francisco Bay Area

With patience and frequent breaks we make it within a quarter mile of the junction with Priest Rock Trail. We are completely exposed along a south facing cliff. It may well be over 100 degrees F. Craig is slowing down even further and he is swerving a bit. Soon Ben and I agree that even if Craig could continue, at this pace it is going to take hours. At this temperature we are all going to run out of water and then we have an even bigger emergency on our hands. So, we have no choice but to call for help., Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve, Los Gatos, California, September 05, 2020, 14:28
